  Thallus pale fawn to pale greenish fawn, thin, smooth, glossy. Ascomata scattered or clustered, sessile, open, linear to oval or irregular in outline, 1–4 mm long, 0.3–0.8 mm wide, lacking a thalline margin. Disc black, densely white-pruinose. Proper exciple apically to laterally carbonised, remaining smooth. Hymenium 150–200 µm thick. Ascospores 1 per ascus, becoming pale brown (sometimes persistently hyaline), densely muriform, 75–100 × 16–22 µm.
CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected.
     
  An uncommon, corticolous species in eastern Qld; also in Central and South America, Kenya and the Philippines.
